About Krista

My interest in the field of Naturopathic Medicine began when I was studying at the University of Guelph. A close friend of mine was working with a Naturopathic Doctor to improve her health and as I watched her regain her vitality and energy I was intrigued and wanted to learn more. I began working with a Naturopathic Doctor myself changing my diet and lifestyle and saw very positive health improvements. I spent a lot of time researching this field and the more I learned, I knew that this was the career path that I was meant to take.
In 2000 I graduated from he University of Guelph and went on to study at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine - Canada's premier institute for Naturopathic Education and research. After completing my studies and internship I moved with my husband Alexander to Calgary, AB where I set up practice at Synergea Family Health Centre.
After working closely with the midwives at Synergea I developed a special interest in perinatal and pediatric naturopathic medicine. Shortly after the birth of my son in 2006, my husband and I decided to move to Guelph to be closer to family. In January, 2009 our daughter was born.
As every person is unique I take a very individualized approach to health care with each client. I utilize clinical nutrition, botanical medicine, homeopathy, acupuncture, traditional chinese medicine and lifestyle counselling to help clients to reach their optimal health and not just to alleviate illness. I feel that it is important to educate and empower clients to make informed and healthy lifestyle decisions. My practice is focused on family health care with a special interest in digestive health, allergies and sensitivities, prenatal and pediatric health.
I am a member in good standing of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors, The Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors and The Association of Perinatal Naturopathic Doctors and is registered and licensed with the Board of Directors of Drugless Therapy-Naturopathy.
